Suburbia collects exclusive insights about sales and trends from new sources, such as satellites and start-ups, so our clients can make better decisions faster. We are a small, but fast-growing startup, based in the city center of Amsterdam. Our tech focused start-up is extremely ambitious and the current product has found great engagement. We will be a serious player in the international alternative data space and are raising our presence in the market.
Our success depends on our relationships – attracting new data suppliers and providing our customers with highly valuable insights. We need a passionate and all round marketing hacker who will help scale our external presence, from creating and analyzing our social media to executing our marketing strategy. You will do this in close cooperation with a highly experienced CMO and an external agency. You will be instrumental in building thought leadership across industries. Suburbia is built on developing relationships and awareness – we aim to be seen as thought leader on alternative data in Europe.
Together with an external agency, you will take responsibility for creating engaging and insightful social media posts, data focused reports and info graphics. Your ambition and temperament will be key to ensure our strategy is well targeted, professional and successful.
This will be a role which interacts with every part of the company. From working with our developers to pull interesting datasets, to creating posts with our insight scientist, defining visual elements with our design team, representing the company at conferences and executing on the marketing strategy with our PR agency.
This is an innovative role which puts valuable data in front of more people, making alternative data accessible for everyone..
We are looking for ambitious and entrepreneurial hackers. You are an independent thinker who can create both engaging content and also the metrics to measure its success. You know how to make a difference in social and online media. Attention to detail is key as Suburbia strives for best in class content in the data space.
The role also includes internal reporting, stakeholder management and general administrative upkeep. Experience in a start-up marketing role is preferred as well as some design experience.
Please note that in order to be considered for the internship, candidates must be enrolled in a University for the entire duration of the internship.
