Above all, ‘change banking’ means taking action. As a Retail Banking trainee, your work has a direct impact on a great number of our clients. For example, you can help improving the transparency of our mortgages. Would you like to work as an associate, a commercial role with a lot of client interaction? That is definitely possible.Or you take responsibility for organising a major event for Private Banking customers. Working in the Social Media Team, to increase the impact of our online ING Community is also an option.
Based on your own interests, you canindicate your preferences for your first rotation so that we can work togetherto find a suitable starting role for you. Alongside your own assignment, youalso collaborate with other trainees on a group assignment. This enables you toget to know several departments within our Retail Bank.
It’s up to you to arrange your secondrotation on your own, but that will be no problem for you since by then youwill have built up a sizeable network and know what you want. Many of ourtrainees choose to do a rotation abroad.
After that, you start in your first ‘real’ job, which lasts for approximately two years. The aim is to further enhance your knowledge and hone your skills in roles such as Customer Journey Expert, Product Owner, Associate or Lending Specialist (servicing Mid Corporate clients).
What do we offer you?
Needless to say we offer you an excellent basic salary for this traineeship (starters position), a 13th month, paid annual leave, an impressive training package and a permanent contract. But above all we offer you the chance to shape your own ideas about banking in a receptive environment and hence to make banking even simpler and more transparent for our customers. Together with other(international) trainees you will participate in global events, which will enable you to quickly build up a large network. You also have the opportunity to do one of your projects abroad – because six months in Madrid, Frankfurt or Milan is not only really interesting but also good for your development.
As a trainee you receive guidance from your line manager, an HR coach and a Senior Manager in a mentor’s role. They will coach you, inspire you, introduce you to their network and share their knowledge and insights with you.
What do we ask of you?
You have a master degree from a university.
You have an interest in financial services, an innovative take on banking and an unconditional drive to turn your ideas into reality.
As a student you have gained (international) experience through various extracurricular activities.
You are enthusiastic and considerthe interests of our customers and your colleagues.
You are fluent in Dutch.
