Function description
As Chairman, you have a central position in the board and focus on the overall cooperation between all board members. You oversee the goals of the association and the long-term strategy in its entirety. To maintain oversight and keep everyone informed you organize and chair weekly board meetings. This also holds for four-monthly general meetings where members hold you accountable for the achievement of policy goals. Furthermore, you are Sefa’s final representative to the outside world and maintain the external relationships.
Tasks
- Organizing and chairing all board and general meetings
- Safeguarding strategic policy goals during the daily routine
- Communicating extensively within the board, with the university, with other study associations, with the FSR and with Sefa’s supervisory board
- Acting as the face of Sefa towards outside parties
- Financial audit

About me
Hey everyone, I’m Brice, the Chairman of the 103rd Board. Originally from Luxembourg, with Dutch and Portuguese heritage, my journey with Sefa began in 2021 when I started my studies in Business Administration. Introduced to Sefa by my roommate, who was Sefast of the Year at the time, I quickly became captivated by the association’s values and vibrant community. Right from the start, I threw myself into Sefa, attending every event I could and joining the AGAN committee in my first year. Organizing social events for our members was an amazing experience, and later, as an AGAN mentor, I had the privilege of guiding new first-year students and giving back to the association that had already given me so much.
One of my proudest moments was being named Sefast of the Year—a recognition that truly felt like the culmination of my dedication to Sefa. Eager for a new challenge, I then took on the role of Chair for the Amsterdam Career Days. This was a transformative experience for me. Despite having organized many events before, the scale and prestige of the Amsterdam Career Days were unmatched. With a phenomenal team, we succeeded in making this event the largest student recruitment event in the Netherlands, surpassing even our sister associations in Rotterdam. This achievement reinforced my belief in the incredible growth opportunities that student experiences provide.
This journey naturally led me to apply for a board year, and today, I am honored to serve as the Chairman of Sefa for the 103rd board. Sefa is exceptional in fostering a community of passionate students who, while focused on different aspects of business and economics, remain deeply interconnected. With members from over 100 nationalities, Sefa is a unique melting pot where Dutch culture and international perspectives converge, allowing students to integrate into both Dutch society and the global community.
