Biography
Prof. Dr. A.W.A. (Arnoud) Boot currently is Professor of Corporate Finance and Financial Markets at the University of Amsterdam and director of the Amsterdam Center for Law & Economics (ACLE).
Boot is also chairman of the Bank Council of the Dutch central bank, De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). Further, he is member of the Dutch Social Economic Council, the Sociaal-Economische Raad (SER). He has also established the Amsterdam Center for Corporate Finance, a “think tank” designed to improve the interaction between theory and practice. He is a non-executive director of several agencies.
