Function description
Treasurer
As Treasurer, you are responsible for Sefa’s financial position. This means monitoring every euro the association spends, and you are responsible for all in- and outgoing cash flows. But it’s a lot more than just controlling. The Treasurer is also responsible for making financial plans and helping the board and all committees set out a financial strategy. You will ensure that your fellow board members and all the committees spend money most efficiently and rationally. To do so, you are closely involved in all aspects of the organization. Furthermore, the Treasurer has a vital role during the General Meetings by justifying the financial choices made by the board. This includes preparing Sefa’s overall budget and realization and giving an adequate explanation.
Tasks
- Creating Sefa’s financial policy, budget and financial statements
- Have a complete overview of the financial position of the association
- Manage and authorize all in- and outgoing cash flows
- Guiding the committee treasurers and having good insight of the committee budgets
- Manage Sefa’s insurance and tax matters
Typical traits
Punctual, reliable, stress-resistant, and confident. Experience with Excel is preferred

About me
Hello everyone,
I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the Treasurer of Sefa’s 103rd board. I can’t wait to see what this year is going to bring.
Over the past three years, I’ve been studying Business Administration at UvA, specializing in finance, and of course attending many Sefa events along the way. From meeting some of my now closest friends via the social events in my first year, to organizing them myself as the chair of the International Student Committee last year, I owe many amazing memories to Sefa. I’m excited to now be in a position where I can help create similar experiences for others!!
When I’m not in the office, you’ll likely find me in a spinning class or a Pilates studio, exploring the city’s cafes with friends, or enjoying some time cooking at home. I can’t wait to meet everyone—please feel free to reach out or say hello anytime!
