L’Oréal Board Member visiting UvA

On Friday June 21,  Emmanuel Lulin, one of the international board members at L’Oréal will visit our faculty. He is the senior Vice-President and Chief Ethics Officer at L’Oréal international. He would like to meet our students and discuss the relevance and role of (business) ethics in a large international company with you. Do you have interest in topics related to ethics, sustainability and social responsibility and would like to discuss them with one of the key players in the business field? Are you considering a career in health, beauty and cosmetics? Then this is your opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with mr. Lulin and several L’Oréal interns that will also be present at the meeting.

Profile Emmanuel Lulin

Emmanuel Lulin joined L’ORÉAL in 1999 as Group General Counsel for Human Resources. In 2007, under the leadership of Jean-Paul Agon, he set up the Office of the Group Chief Ethics Officer. Before joining L’ORÉAL, he was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1988 and practiced as a corporate and tax attorney at Debevoise & Plimpton in Paris and New York. He holds a Master of Laws from Chicago University and a law degree from the French Universities of Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne) and Paris II (Assas).

In 1988, he was the Lavoisier laureate of the French Ministry for Foreign Affairs. From 2007 to 2012, he was on the Board of the Ethics & Compliance Officer Association in the United States and is on the Board of the Cercle Ethique des Affaires in France since 2011.

He is a Fellow of the Ethics Resource Center (Washington), a member of the Global Council on Business Conduct (New York), of the Ethics Committee of the French Agency for Development (AFD) and of the Ethics Committee of the French Institute of Directors (IFA).
