Blog post #14: New Heights have been Reached!

Straight to the Top!

Dear Sefasts,

February may be the shortest month of the year, but we certainly did not treat it that way. From the snowy slopes and Jäger-fueled celebrations in the French Alps to policy discussions and packed dance floors, this month had it all.

The month started in the beautiful mountains of Les 2 Alpes during our Wintersport trip. The fresh snow, the new friendships and some nights that some of us might remember better than others, it was a week filled with unforgettable moments. The slopes were conquered by day, and the après-ski by night, in true Sefa fashion.

Back in Amsterdam, the romance continued with Cupid making an appearance during our AGAN’s Champagne & Handcuffs drinks. The Valentine’s spirit was undeniable, and the passion was very much alive, Sinclair can confirm! But the celebrations didn’t stop there. The Valentine’s Monthly Drinks brought even more energy, with a full venue, great music, and love literally in the air.

Many successful events took place in February. Women+ organized an insightful In-house day at the STX office and celebrated Galentine’s in style with a Reformer Pilates session. A perfect combination of strength, balance, and empowerment.
On the academic side, the Investment Club Alumni Event delivered guidance and inspiration, with valuable tips on how to break into finance from our alumni. It is safe to say that the Investment Club has big things coming this year!

With the end of Q2, we all gathered for General Meeting II, where my fellow Board members and I presented our new policies, ideas, and projects for the upcoming year. So stay updated, Sefa is reaching new heights this year!

The IDP Trivia Night turned out to be an overwhelming success, with competitive spirits running high, showing great support for the project that will be carried out this year in West Papua. Meanwhile, the Masters Drinks marked the first master social event of the year. The dance floor was full and the Sefa Shots definitely stole the show.

Last but not least, February Recruitment brought a new wave of ambitious committee members. We are excited to welcome everyone to the Sefa community and wish all our new members the best of luck!

I hope the energy of this eventful February will be carried on into March, because with sunny days coming our way, we are set for a Spring full of fun!

Ciao,

Tommaso Ravelli
