Sefa Social Consulting Group

SSCG offers high quality consultancy to non-profit organisations and low-budget social enterprises. Through the interdisciplinary nature of the consultancy team, advice will be given from select talented and highly motivated students from the University of Amsterdam. Through Sefa, the consultants receive professional training, allowing them to unfold and apply their professional skills and innovative thinking to contemporary organisational complexities.

Our team consists of high-performing internationally oriented students with various academic backgrounds. We are a diverse team of interdisciplinary and highly motivated students selected based on talent from the Faculty of Economics and Business. We aim to help non-profit organisations and social enterprises through our free consultancy practise. Our strong focus on individual clients and care for communication makes sure we can truly contribute to the organisations we help.

We are passionate about making a sustainable impact on society: our solutions are made to last. That is why we are devoted to work together with like-minded businesses, especially NGOs and social enterprises. Since the aim for SSCG is to foster mutually beneficial growth with clients, the entire engagement is understood to be on a pro bono basis.

In order to as a team deliver solutions that align with the clients needs, we approach projects as follows: we first deliver a clearly defined project proposal. We align the expectations of the client by stating the aim and method for our research. During the process, we have a two-sided evaluation of our progress and the direction we’re heading. In the end, the deliverable is presented in accordance to the wishes of the client. Throughout this journey flexibility is key.

We are able to tap into 3 specific channels of knowledge and networks:

University of Amsterdam: With close ties to the UvA, we are able to access not only the high quality databases, but are also able to engage with UvA professors and alumni
Sefa: Sefa is the study association of the Faculty of Economics and Business and is one of the largest study associations in the Netherlands
As Sefa’s flagship consulting association, we receive trainings from top-tier consultancies, such as Bain, Oliver Wyman and Strategy&, some of which have previously mentored our projects
Personal: SSCG represents the nature of business nowadays: we are an international team with diverse set of knowledge, experiences and networks
