About OLYX:

OLYX is a brokerage company located in the heart of Amsterdam, active in the dynamic world of renewable energies. We are convinced that human relationships and trust are essential ingredients in trading. We have intermediated through over 700 trading partners in Europe, Asia, and America.

We are proud of our company culture and the results achieved by our team, consisting of more than 40 people of many different nationalities. We celebrate our successes together and are always looking for improvements.

About the project:

We are a leading brokerage company in the biomethane market for the transport, electricity and heating sector in Germany collaborating with energy and gas companies to support their decarbonisation process.

All municipalities and energy providers in Germany have an increasing interest, and some are even legally obligated to reduce their or their clients’ CO2 footprint. The Renewable Energy Sources Act is one (EEG) form of regulation to incentivise them to produce electricity from renewable resources. One effective way to reduce the CO2 footprint is by using biomethane.

OLYX helps German municipalities and energy providers establish themselves in the renewable energy market not only in the electricity sector but also heating and transport by supplying them with biomethane from our existing client network.

As part of our strategic expansion, we are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Master’s student to join our team as an intern for 6 months and with the intention to stay in our company afterwards.

This internship will provide you with a unique opportunity to work in the renewable energy sector, directly engaging with municipalities (Stadtwerke) and regional energy providers to negotiate and broker primarily biomethane in the German market.
