Dear Sefasts,
November has been quite a month. Full of energy, connection and unforgettable moments. Before we head into the final endterm week of 2025, I would like to take a moment to reflect on everything we experienced together.
The month started strong with our Active Members’ Weekend in Oudega, Friesland. From creative costumes to campfire moments and a welcome break from busy life in Amsterdam, it was a perfect opportunity to strengthen the bond within our active community and set the tone for the weeks ahead.
And of course, for any Sefast, November means Borrelmaand. This year truly raised the bar. As supervisor of the Social I Committee, I am incredibly proud of the dedication and creativity behind every event. From a packed kickoff at Jimmy Woo, to a competitive beer pong tournament, a nostalgic themed drink at Kopstootbar in black and red, and a white and gold closing party at SupperClub; each event contributed to an unforgettable month. Thanks to the venues, the organisation and the strong community spirit, Borrelmaand 2025 will undoubtedly go down as one of the best, if not the best in Sefa’s 104-year history.
Beyond Borrelmaand, November had much more to offer. We hosted our annual TEDxUvA event at Boom Chicago, where an inspiring lineup of speakers shared powerful insights on this year’s theme Wired Minds. We are very grateful to all speakers and volunteers who made this event such a success.
We also organised the Dutch Case Competition, bringing together teams from the University of Amsterdam, RSM Erasmus University and Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. Over two intense days, participants tackled strategic cases from AB InBev and Amazon, showcasing impressive analytical skills, teamwork and creativity. A special thank you goes to the Sefa Case Club Management team for their dedication.
In addition, Rostra Economica hosted its first social event, a chess tournament at De Krater, and SRA organised a golf clinic, combining sport with professional insights into accountancy.
All in all, November has been intense, inspiring and filled with lasting memories. I am incredibly grateful to experience this month as your Operational Officer. As we enter the final endterm period of 2025, I wish you all the best of luck. I am confident you will finish strong before enjoying a well-deserved Christmas break.
With appreciation,
Sinclair Mandjes
Operational Officer 2025/26
