Dear reader,
My name is Thymen, and I was the Commercial Relations Officer of the 103rd executive board of Sefa. Prior to that I studied Business Administration at Vrije Universiteit. During my study years I gained working experience in the Financial Services sector and in account management. After that I used my experience in the Amsterdam Career Days committee as a bridge to Sefa. The combination of an amazing community and the ambitiousness at Sefa, won me over! More recently, I graduated the MSc BA – Management of Business and Trade at the UvA and started my career at a brokerage firm in environmental commodities.
Circling back to my board year at Sefa, this year taught me about proactiveness, efficient teamwork and how to supervise a team. It included being the end responsible in different situations and dealing with all types of challenges with a team. One of the highlights was to see all the hard work of the ACD committee paying off during the first week of March. That made me very proud as a supervisor of the committee.
As a Supervisory Board Member, I hope to offer a valuable extra perspective for the strategic direction of the association. I am excited about this position and very confident that I will have the same proud feeling about this year’s executive board. Let’s reach new heights together!
Cheers,
Thymen
