Sefa Investment Club

The Sefa Investment Club has evolved from the former Sefa Investment Day into a year-round initiative! The Sefa Investment Club addresses the growing interest in investing among students by offering continuous opportunities to learn and engage with the financial markets. Many students are eager to invest but may hesitate due to a lack of experience. Our club aims to bridge that gap by providing a supportive environment where students can gain practical knowledge and confidence.

Throughout the year, the Sefa Investment Club will host a variety of events, including workshops and lectures led by industry professionals and professors. These sessions will cover essential topics such as stock selection, trading strategies, and the daily life of financial professionals. Additionally, we’ll organize career events like in-house days with industry-leading companies, offering you a chance to explore career paths in finance and investment.

What Can I Learn as a Committee Member?

As a member of the Sefa Investment Club committee, you’ll work closely with a team of driven, like-minded students. Depending on your role, you’ll have the opportunity to lead your team, manage budgets, acquire partnerships with top companies, or create compelling promotional materials. This experience will help you develop organizational skills, meet deadlines, and navigate the professional business environment, making it an ideal challenge for ambitious students passionate about finance and investment.

The chairman is in charge of the whole organization of Sefa Investment Club events and activities, overseeing all the other positions. They are responsible for planning and managing the meetings, setting priorities, guiding discussions, and making sure tasks are followed up on. The chairman also works closely with the board and handles key decisions.

The head of acquisition is the leader of the acquisition team, keeping an overview of the acquisition process. Their responsibilities include creating an acquisition plan, giving tasks to acquisition members, and approving the cash flows within the committee. They ensure the targets are being met.

The treasurer is responsible for managing the committee’s finances. They create a budget and a realized budget, track cash flows, and keep accurate financial records. The secretary keeps the committee organized by handling records and communication. They take notes during meetings, prepare and share agendas and minutes, and help with scheduling.

The marketing is responsible for all the offline and online promotion of the Investment Club events. Their main focus is making sure all the students of the Economics and Business faculty know about the Investment Club and are excited to participate. They handle the planning and acquisition of materials, such as flyers, posters, and banners.

The acquisition initiates and keeps communication with external contacts. Their responsibilities include approaching potential companies to participate in events, planning and closing deals, guiding the external parties before and after the events. Besides, they will also have the function of marketing, helping with the promotion of Investment Club events.
