Dear reader,

My name is Eva Dijkstra, and I was the Operational Officer of the 102nd board of Sefa. Before that, I completed my Bachelor’s in Business Administration at the University of Amsterdam, where I specialized in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Creativity. This February, I’ll be starting my Master’s in Nijmegen, and I’m very excited for this next chapter.

Looking back, my board year at Sefa was without a doubt the most valuable experience of my time at the University of Amsterdam. Not only did I make friends for life, but I also grew a lot — both personally and professionally — thanks to the hands-on experience that came with the role. During this year, I learned how to lead a diverse team, delegate effectively, organize events from scratch, and manage one of the largest study associations in the Netherlands together with only seven other board members.

One of the academic highlights of the year was organizing the very first edition of the Amsterdam Case Competition— a real milestone for Sefa. Personally, I’ll never forget the TEDxUniversiteitvanAmsterdam event, our successful blowout party, and, of course, the winter sports trip.

I look back on this year with great fondness and gratitude, and I’m thrilled to continue contributing to the association, this time as a member of the Supervisory Board.
